A gold (XAUUSD) grid Expert Advisor that adapts instead of blindly averaging down: it classifies the market regime (ranging / trending / volatile / quiet) from ADX, volatility and spread, trades the grid only in favorable regimes, auto-stops in dangerous ones, and evolves its parameters from its own trade history (last 500 trades persisted across sessions). Ships with a separate Risk Manager module, full math documentation, setup guides for Windows/Mac/VPS, and a bonus GridHedge EA. Grid systems can and do lose money in strong trends; the regime filter exists to reduce exactly that risk, not to eliminate it.

Safe first-run checklist
  1. 1Attach EA to a demo XAUUSD M15 chart. Run for 7 days before touching live.
  2. 2Confirm broker allows hedging + your spread stays under 25 cents at London/NY open.
  3. 3Start with 0.01 lot per $1,000 — resist the urge to over-lot the grid.
  4. 4Set weekly max-drawdown alert on your account. Kill EA if breached.
  5. 5Load the Economic Calendar filter — no new grids 30 min before NFP or FOMC.
